Bioinformatics, AI for learning with LangChain, AirFlow and FastAPI
I led an ambitious initiative to modernize a legacy bioinformatics project, transitioning from PHP/Nextflow to more advanced technologies. Though the final goal was not fully reached, the project offered valuable insights and growth opportunities. Since late 2023, I’ve been actively contributing to a startup, optimizing AI workflows for an innovative learning assistant platform.

Core API Improvements, GIS Data and Virtual Reality
I got back to backend work in the first part of the year, to improve NGS core APIs and boost maintainability. I ended the year with exciting ArcGIS integration research for Web and VR Applications.

Let the Frontend Begin
I started working more heavily on front-end development. React, Gatsby and NextJS with a sprinkle of Node and Prisma for building a beautiful expedition/journey tracker for explorers.

AirFlow, Scrapy and Docker Swarm for a scraping infrastructure that fights against insurance fraud
Extracting data from the major automotive selling websites in search for fraudulent sales postings. Data monitoring and validation were the primary focus.
2018
Python, Crawling and Hadoop for surfacing client satisfaction in the accommodation industry
Making my way around a big distributed crawling infrastructure, extracting data, building reports and learning a lot of stuff.
